Bacchus is my beautiful Quarter Horse / Thoroughbred cross. I shipped him to Kentucky from Oregon in summer 2004. Unfortunately, Bacchus has arthritis in his left pastern. I think he has it in the right, too, but his left is much worse. He's sound at the walk, and bute works, so I will still use him for friends and the occassional peaceful trail ride for me. (Jefe is a handful and is rarely peaceful!) Bacchus never liked to work, anyway, so I don't think he minds. I do miss riding him. He's the best horse I've ever known.
